Tom Atema
With 14 years of experience at Johanna Farms alongside his father, Tom, his wife ‎Chris, and their two sons shifted to the faith-based non-profit world to follow their ‎passions. ‎

In 1985, Tom began his journey with Word of Life Fellowship as a volunteer ‎missionary, quickly advancing to Director of Gift Planning Ministry and ‎Development. He then managed the Fellowship’s conference center as interim ‎Director of Word of Life Fellowship Florida. ‎

Tom’s expertise continued to shine at The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove ‎in 1993, where he optimized operations to enhance guest experiences. By 1999, he ‎was revitalizing Blue Ridge Broadcasting as Executive Director, tripling its audience ‎and budget in six years. ‎

From 2006, Tom led as Vice President of International Ministries and Strategic ‎Partnerships at John Maxwell’s EQUIP ministry, expanding its reach from 42 to 210 ‎countries and building a global team of 150 partners. ‎

After the 2006 Lebanon war, Tom co-founded Heart for Lebanon, a ministry focused ‎on transforming lives through faith. He now serves as US Legal Representative and ‎liaison to Lebanon’s General Assembly, while also coaching the Lebanese team. ‎

Tom and Chris live near Asheville, NC. They have two sons and their spouses, and ‎enjoy being grandparents to four grandchildren and great grandparents to one. Tom ‎has also authored two books: 'Leadership in Blue Jeans' and 'Relationships Break ‎the Rules: Rethinking Our Non-Profit Mandate'. ‎
